Walking your way back to your ‘self’

‘How Wild it was, to let it be’ – Cheryl Strayed

Walk and Talk Therapy offers the opportunity to bring your inner and outer experience together; for people that feel an energetic charge toward nature and being outside. By bringing Mother Nature and our non-human friends into the therapy, another dimension is added connecting to the wild within.

Nature can be experienced as wild and chaotic, it can also be calm and peaceful; feelings that are echoed throughout our lives.
Walk and Talk Therapy can be a place to explore the outdoors while exploring your own inward experiences.
Bringing together the spontaneous experience of the elements and different surroundings, we will engage with nature and seek out both the wild and calm within and without.

At times our body response to emotion can be ignored or not expressed as we may wish it be, walk and talk therapy provides you a space to both move and express what is being carried emotionally. Pacing in any therapeutic session is important, in walk and talk therapy you will set the pace that you need, this could be grounding meditative and relaxing or it could be faster paced with a more heightened connection to body.

Holding boundaries and keeping confidentiality will be integrated into this work outdoors; ensuring that you feel safe to connect with all that is happening is a key part of the process.

Human beings have walked the land and basked in the beauty of nature since the beginning of time, I feel that movement and being connected to the world outside our window can offer a unique perfect measured blend of safety and risk, this can be an important place to connect with, a place where growth and expansion can be birthed.
